Milk doesn’t just come from the supermarket!

We will bring ‘Skye’ the milking cow to you and let the children see where milk, cream
and butter really come from.

Children will get to see ‘Skye’ the cow being milked.

In groups we will separate the cream from the milk.

Finally we will experiment with making butter using different methods.

Specific aims of this unit are:

To understand that milk originates from animals such as cows, goats & sheep.

To understand that foods go through a process of change to become a specific product.

Moove or follow up with a Chicken Hatching Program.
